The Music Laboratory for the Human Self – Ensemble is an experimental chamber vocal ensemble, created in 2016 by Yordan Kamdzhalov.

The group works innovatively with trends and styles from archaism to modernism, weaving improvisation, folklore and practices from the music of many peoples and cultures.

Presenting unprecedented musical projects throughout the country, as well as abroad, the Ensemble realizes iconic conceptual sound-spatial performances such as Darzost, Dopusni, Mileya, etc.

The ensemble plays a key role in the realization of the recording and world premiere with the multiple winner of the Golden Globe and Grammy Awards Lisa Gerard. It participated in the creation of the emblematic album Etudes of the Future, whose European premiere was held in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna.

After its first tour in Austria in 2023, the ensemble received numerous invitations to tour Europe and USA.
