
Demetra-Andzhalika is born in 1999 in Sofia, Bulgaria. From 2008-2018 she started studying percussion in National Music School “Lyubomir Pipkov”. She is currently student in National Music Academy “Pancho Vladigerov”, Sofia, where she is studying percussion and orchestral conducting.
Since 8 years old she is part of the National Radio Children’s Choir with which she plays and sings on different festivals, events and tours around the world.
As a young student in National Music School “Lyubomir Pipkov” she has won few first and second prizes in the harmony and solfège competitions “prof. Parashkev Hadjiev” and “prof. Kamen Popdimitrov”.
In 2015 she wrote a piece for marimba, multipercussion , voice and piano “Ether” with which she wins in the category of composition at the “Music and Earth” competition, Sofia.
In 2020 she won four first prizes in the competitions “Constantine the Great” , “International Music Competition” – Belgrade Serbia, “Music e-contest” and “Sopravista International Festivals” – Italy.
In 2021 she received another two first Platinum prizes in the “Canadian music competition” and the Spanish competition “Fiestalonia”.
She has participated in the masterclasses and clinics of : Emmanuel Séjourné (France), Vassilena Serafimova (France/Bulgaria), Michael Burritt (USA), David Friedman (USA), Svet Stoyanov (Bulgaria/USA), Jean-Baptiste Leclère (France), Paris Percussion Group (France), Kiril Stoyanov (Bulgaria) and more.
