Maestro Yordan Kamdzhalov’s first International Masterclass in orchestral/choral conducting in Bulgaria was held in May 2025 in Sofia.

Maestro Kamdzhalov shared with the participants of the Masterclass experience based on:

• 10 years of higher education in conducting
• Specializations in 6 European countries
• Over 10 international conducting awards
• Practical experience in dozens of countries
• Work with a number of the absolute conducting greats of the 20th/21st centuries – Kurt Masur, Lorin Maazel, David Zinman, Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, Bernard Haitink, Pierre Boulez, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Jorma Panula, Seiji Ozawa
• 25 years of experience in orchestral, choral, and opera repertoire, encompassing over 300 scores from all musical eras
• Work with over 50 professional ensembles on 3 continents

Participants were given a premiere introduction to a mnemonic-analytical technique for the universal structural analysis of musical scores.
